Devotees of the former Playroom, be comforted. the new version, now known as Play Activity Center, was well worth the wait. The enormous, crisply decorated space and new features offer an experience that bests anything that came before, and we've not seen anyone walk through the doors who wasn't wowed.
For starters, it's important to note that the new location was the site of a fitness gym, and the layout works for this kid-friendly spot. Two gyms are placed side by side, containing mats and slides, a rock climbing wall, inflatables, and the supremely popular foam pit.
A parent lounge offers closed circuit TV views into the gym area, and plenty of cushy seating, kitchen amenities, and free wi-fi. An adjacent family eating area offers an easy place to eat a meal away from home, or tend to snack time. A moms' room - located in the huge bathroom/locker room - is a cozy spot for nursing and diaper changes.
Creative play areas offer the kids the chance to play veterinarian/pet groomer, shop manager, grocery store shopper, and hair stylist, as well as play with blocks or multi-sensory activities.
Short Stay Childcare is available to supplement day care or preschool programs, and drop-in playtimes take place seven days a week for parents to interact with kids in a fun environment. Playgroups are welcome here, too, and kids' nights out take place regularly. Instructors are all CPR and First Aid-trained, and, we must note this, are exceedingly courteous and pleasant.
Birthday Parties: Parties for kids age two and up include one hour of staff-supervised age-appropriate games and activities including obstacle course, relays, parachute play foam pit, trampoline, moonwalk bouncer, and more, followed by 30 minutes of party room time for cake and presents. Pricing includes all paper products, balloons, invitations, temporary tattoos, and a party favor for each child. I am not sure who had more fun at our daughter's party ~ the kids or the adults! It was nice to see the parents particpating and acually enjoying themselves. It was easy for me to plan and a perfect value for the money. Our party was just a couple of weeks ago and one of our party goers has already booked their own party!

My 4 yr old daughter has been going to the playroom since it opened. She loves it! As a micro preemie growing up with sensory issues, weak muscletone and everything else that goes with it, The Playroom has been an integral part of the success of her growth.It has helped with not only her physical growth but social growth and self esteem as well. Collen is awesome and is able to offer such a clean and safe yet fun environment.

I was crazy-IMPRESSED with the organization, enthusiasm and true heart that was put into my son's 4th birthday party by the Playroom staff! They did everything to make sure it was a GREAT time not only for the "birthday boy," but for his parents too. We enjoyed every minute of it because we knew everything was being taken care of perfectly. We had two young gentlemen Travis and Joe who ran my son's gym part. These guys were fantastic.. FUN, FUN, FUN..But they didn't stop there. They made sure the kids kept taking water breaks and as they entered the party room for cake and ice cream- they had wipes for the kids to clean up!! I've never seen that at a party. Speaking of clean, when you walk into the party room, you can smell the "cleaness" of it.

I have been taking my daughter to the playroom since it first opened. The facility is always clean and organized. The activities for the children are both creative and active. The kids love the jumping gym area and the foam pit. Also, the weekend parents night out is a great alternative to a babysitter. My daughter loves going and Colleen the owner is really terrific! If you live in the area don't let your kids miss out on the fun.

Our family has been going to the Play Room for about a year. My 4 (almost 5) year old and 7 year old LOVE going to the drop in play sessions. It's a great place to meet up with friends. I have used the drop off care several times and have always been pleased. Colleen is great with the children and they always have a blast. Our Daisy Scouts had an outing at the Playroom where Colleen lead them through activities to teach them about being "Courageous and Strong". The girls LOVED it.

I cannot say enough about "The Playroom" and it's owner, Colleen. Fun, bright, very clean...my daughter has a blast everytime she goes. Most importantly, Colleen is one of those people who loves her job, and takes the responsibility of your child to heart. I consider this one of the best places in Atlanta for children and parents, and a very refreshing alternative.

This is the best run indoor facility around. We go mostly just for drop-in play, but we've also attendeded other people's birthdays there as well as special events like her Happy Noon Year celebration where every kid received a special prize on the cake walk & had an apple juice toast at noon. We hosted a birthday party there later that January with a guest list of boys & girls ranging from toddlers to twelves. They took care of everything from the decorations to serving the cake. They're masters at splitting off age groups for age appropriate play & then melding them back together again with a game or activity. The kids never get bored as Colleen's always mixing things up & introducing new activites. The coolest thing about The Playroom is that it's the perfect place for DADs to get involved & show off.

As a mother of two who has visited every park, play facility, and inflatable bounce house in the metro area, this is BY FAR the best of the best!! It encompasses all that a fun playdate with your child should- from the awesome trampolines (my 4 year old's favorite!), to the fun foam pit, to the superbly equipt playroom, and the owner's outstanding approach to play (her energy is rivaled only by a member of The Wiggles!), The Playroom has something for every child! Even my 13 month old has a blast there. We've been going there to play for over a year and the kids never tire of it, as they tend to do at the inflatable facilities. Their drop-off program is INCREDIBLE and has been a savior for me as a mom. Last, but certainly not least, their birthday parties are a BLAST!! I held my son's 4th B-day party there and had over 10 moms call me the following week to thank me for having the most enjoyable party they had ever attended. The kids are exhausted and the parents don't lift a finger, other than to participate in the fun.

The Playroom is incredible! The kids love it!! The place is full of equipment that gets the kids moving instantly. The trampolines and foam pit are huge hits for my sons (ages 5 and nearly 3). They also enjoy the inflatable castle, balance beams and all the other fun things (too many to mention them all) that The Playroom has to offer. The director, Colleen is one of the best childcare providers that I have ever encountered. She constantly utilizes all the equipment to engage the children in fun and physical activities. She's enegetic, loving, creative and organized. My kids adore her! In fact, they call The Playroom "Ms. Colleen's" (instead of "The Playroom") because all the fun they have there is associated with her. I have felt very comfortable leaving them with her for camps and drop-off care. Words cannot really express what a great job she does. I just love knowing that my children are getting a great workout and having the time of their lives when they are in her care. My oldest child celebrated his 5th birthday party at "Ms. Colleen's" and so did just about every other child in his class. I was so relaxed at my son's party because Colleen and the staff took care of everything! What a huge relief!

I have a 2 and 3yr old, the playroom is a great for their open play especially in this weather. The kids always have a smile on their face and the hours are perfect for them to exhaust themselves prior to their naps,plus you can't beat the price! Colleen is wonderful as well.

Our family LOVES the playroom!! We go alot for drop in play and my kids go non-stop until time to go home. We have been to two parties at The Playroom and were so impressed that we are having my sons next birthday there. My 3-year old daugher has also attended camp here and is begging to go back again! The workers there are very attentive and give lots of encouragement and attention to each child.

We have been to two birthday parties here. Both experiences were AWESOME! Yet the first one was one that stickes with me. I am a mother of triplets and one of the triplets has CP. Well, at the party the staff made her feel like part of the group, including her in everything (of course making sure it was good with me and I helped too). They never shyed away from her even when she first came in. They greeted her like everyother kid attending the party. I notice things and people like that and when ever we/the trips get invited to a party at THE PLAYROOM we try our best to be there. The owner is hands on which is another reason I enjoy going. All four of my kids, love it.

We have been to The Playroom multiple times for drop-in play, drop-off care (hourly daycare), birthday parties, and our neighborhood Holiday party. Colleen is great to work with and really takes pride in her facility. I'd say drop-in / off play appeals to kids ages 1 to at least 7. Older kids would also have a blast at a party with others their age.

We have enjoyed the Playroom for both the "drop in" playtimes and also for the "drop off" child care. My son(2 years old) and daughter(4 years old) love going there to play and never want to leave! Colleen(the owner) is very organized and does a fantastic job of making sure the children feel safe and have fun!

From my 4 year old to my 15 year old, all of my kids love going there to jump on the trampolines, play in the foam pit, and participate in the obstacle courses. The Playroom offers drop-in playtimes, where you and your kids can play together, and drop-off play, when you leave your kids in incredibly capable hands. I frequently use the Playroom for a last-minute babysitter. But my kids' favorite part would be Kids' Night Out. About twice a month, the Playroom offers a weekend night for the kids to play, eat pizza, and watch a movie. The kids have a wonderful time, and us parents actually get to go out together. A win-win situation. :-)

My kids (6 & 4), would love to go to every b-day party at the Playroom. They loved it so much, we do Kids Night Out. My son had his 6th b-day party there and Colleen and her staff were incredible. She does a great job with the kids and the parents. I love it when my kids ask me, "mommy, are we going to the Playroom this week". They have a great time and I'm trust my kids are in great hands.

My son (6) and daughter (4) LOVE going to the Playroom. It is a fun, safe environment where they can try new things while burning a lot of energy. We had my daughter's fourth birthday party there and it was fabulous--easy to talk with the other parents while the kids had a blast.

We were introduced to the playroom at a friends birthday party. The party was so well planned and Colleen was leading the great activities. Even the husbands, with some boundries, had a blast. My friend chose the playroom for its cleanliness and unique set-up. My children had so much fun that we go back monthly, and we live 45 minutes away. If your needing an air conditioned place where you can relax and not have to worry about your chilren, I highly recommend The Playroom.

My two boys absolutely love the playroom. With an almost five year span in age, its nice to find something that they can both enjoy. Would recommend it for any ages- crawlers on up. I like that my 2 year old doesn't get "lost" like he does at the inflatable jump places- I can see him at all times. Clean, friendly, and well run!

I recently had both of my children's birthday parties at The Playroom. It was an awesome experience! The staff was incredible with the kids and the planned activities. Every activity was age appropriate and fun. The kids had a blast! The ONLY thing I had to do was take pictures. The staff took care of everything else..decorating, serving the drinks and cake. I will definitely recommend The Playroom to my friends. In fact, I am pretty sure some of our guests will be booking their next party there.

We LOVE The Playroom! The birthday parties are especially great because of the large play area with the foam pit and the trampolines. The best part is that the parents get to play too instead of just standing around. It is a lot of fun for all ages!

We love the playroom. I had my 2 year old and 6 year olds birthday parties there. The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive. There are tons of things to do so that the adventurous child and the shy child can find something fun to do (from the trampolines to the block pit)! The adults had as much fun as the kids. Drop-In play is also alot of fun and can't beat the price for all the activity.

I held my son's 4th b-day party at The Playroom!! I had heard several postitive comments about how great their parties were so I thought I would give it a try. I'm so HAPPY I did!! I was so impressed with how well organized and well run the party hosts were. It allowed me to relax and enjoy the party with my son. The kids all had a great time. The Playroom is full of high energy w/ lots of different activities to keep them busy. I would highly recommend trying The Playroom for b-day parties!! It is also a great place to play.

We discovered The Playroom when we attended a 3-year old birthday party. All the kids and parents had the best time - the activities were extremely well organized and age appropriate! Since then we've become frequent visitors and great supporters - Colleen is wonderful with the kids and extremely well organized. My son adores her and the other "teachers". We regularly go to drop-in play, I've dropped my son off a couple of times when I had doctors appointments (he didn't want to come home) and had his birthday party there as well. I would highly recommend this to any parent who has a child that is able to walk on his/her own and like them to be active in a safe environment come rain or shine! It is also great if you need a dependable babysitter for a couple of hours during the day. They're not only active - there's a great selection of toys and a formal schedule of activities such as snack-time, art-time, music time etc. My only regret is not discovering this earlier!

We've use the playroom mainly for parents night out and also purchased a birthday party. The playroom is one of our kid's favorite places to go for fun. The birthday party went well overall and the kids had fun. However, parent's night out has become a bit less viable for use due to the alternating weekend schedule and the new early pickup time. Sometimes they just aren't offering that service the weekend and/or day that we need it and the earlier pick up time has been a bit of a discouragement for us. Therefore, we still use The Playroom when we can (and we like it overall) but we can't rely on it as our sole source for children's drop in service.

My 3 year old daughter loves the playroom. We have been there for drop in play with our mom's club, birthday parties and summer camp. All have been great! My daughter loves jumping on the trampolines, leaping into the foam pit, going in the jumpy house and doing all of the obsticles. I love that she gets so much exercise! The Playroom is a Mom's Club favorite. We scheduled a drop in play day last week and had our biggest response for an activity in the history of our club. We had to schedule two play times to accomodate the 50+ people who all wanted to come based on how much all of our kids LOVE the Playroom!

Our playgroup loves the playroom. There is plenty for the kids to do in a clean, supervised environment. When they are tired of obstacle courses and jumping, there is a nice play area with lots of well-organized toys for creative play. The moms get to visit, and the kids get lots of exercise!

LOVE this place! We went for a 5-yr old's birthday party and will definitely be having both of our kids' next parties there! The staff completely led the kids through a fun time including gymnastics' games, follow- the-leader, etc. We parents got to enjoy just watching and chatting with each other, which is a rarity at kids' birthday parties! My kids (5 and 3) loved it so much that we have gone back numerous times for their Drop In Play. And while most places just let your kids just play on their equipment while you supervise, the Playroom staff notices if the kids are getting bored or too crazy and will step in and do activities and games during Open Play! The staff is definitely the best I've seen at a kids play place. Can't wait to go back!

We have been to The Playroom several times, and love it. I have a three year old and one year old. For the younger children, it is much less intimidating than the "jump houses" because it is completely open. This makes it nice for parents as well because you can see what the kids are doing without having to get inside a blow up slide, castle etc. My son (3) had his birthday party at The Playroom and all the kids loved it. I got comments from many parents on how much fun it was. It is such a great place to release some energy (for kids and adults alike), and the owner is super nice and energetic.

I have been going to the Playroom with my 2 and 4 year old for almost a year. They love it- the owner always has different obstacle courses set-up, the foam pit and trampolines are a success, and the moonwalk is also a hit. It is never been too crowded and has flexible times. I had my son's 2 year old party there-he had a blast, was well, done with supervised activites- including a train, obstacle course, and moonwalk. I think it is a great place for kids 6 and under.

Our Mom's club has used the playroom and I personally used it for my daughter's 3rd birthday party. I loved it. We had kids from all ages at the party and they all had a great time. I had parents ready to come back on an open play date with their kids. Colleen had everything organized right down to a writen list of gifts received and who sent them. I was so impressed. I did not have one thing to do at this party but enjoy my daughter's birthday with her.

I first visited the Playroom with my son when he was 15 months old. He was barely walking and I worried that the HUGE gym would be overwhelming and "too old" for him. This was NOT the case. He had a blast playing in the ball pool, crawling through the tunnels, and bouncing on the trampoline. We have been back several times for drop in play and his skill level and enjoyment of this facility has only improved. Additionally, I have visited the Playroom with several friends who's children range from 18 months to 13 years and they have all been equally impressed! The owner, Colleen, sets up incredible races, games, and obstacle courses for the older kids. In fact, I often see parents bouncing and crawling through the foam pit with their kids. The Playroom is a big step above any other play gym for kids. It is affordable, clean, well run and above all else FUN!!! Highly recommended!!!!

This place is great! They have trampolines, obstacle courses, a moon walk, and more. My toddler loves this place, and we try to go every week. If we miss a week, he always tells me he wants to go jump on trampolines! The staff is nice and the environment is clean. It's a great play place for the money.

We started going to the playroom last summer for playdates and my kids love it. It is a fun place for an hour or hour and a half. More than that would be too much bouncing for my kids. However, we love the playroom and everyone there has been great. It has also always been very clean. We will definitely continue going.
