The Red Apple is a great place to buy a special gift for a little person. Though there are some items for bigger kids, the bulk of the selection is for smaller children. Dressy and casual clothing is available for boys and girls, from designers like Ralph Lauren, Cakewalk, Petit Bateau, and Lilly Pulitzer. Layette and baby items are available as well. The shop has a small selection of costume wear (much bigger at Halloween time!), shoes, and beautiful hair accessories for little and big girls. A fairly good, yet small, selection of developmental toys for younger children is on hand. Free gift wrapping is available.
getting there:
From the north, take U.S.1 to SW 57th Ave.(Red Rd.) and turn left. Cross SW 72nd St.(Sunset Dr.). From the south, take U.S.1 to Sw 72nd St.(Sunset Dr.) and turn right. Turn right again on SW 57th Ave.(Red Rd.). On your left you'll see Gardner's Market. Turn into this parking area, The Red Apple is in this small group of shops.
