Once inside, customers will find a wide array of new releases and beloved classics, neatly arranged for easy perusal. Parenting books and foreign language offerings (as well as the latest titles for grown-ups!) are on the lower level. A selection of gift items, including finger puppets and stuffed buddies, is also sold.
Red Balloon hosts a full schedule of author readings, storytimes, and special events throughout the year. Books can be ordered by phone, fax, email, and online. Educators, daycare providers, and homeschoolers can get a 20% discount.

tips:
If you want to be able to get at the shelves on a Tuesday, wait until about noon, otherwise you'll have to climb over the gear-laden families who came in for the baby storytime!
getting there:
Between Milton and Victoria Streets, in the heart of the Grand Avenue shopping district. Street parking is available, and there's a parking lot next to the store.
