about The San Antonio Food Bank:

The San Antonio Food Bank is a non-profit organization that serves as a clearinghouse by receiving and storing truckloads of donated food, produce, and other grocery products. SAFB distributes the items in manageable quantities to approximately 400 service agencies in the area that help people in need.

tips:

Volunteer opportunities are available for families, groups, and individuals to collect and sort food donations. Children must be at least eight years old, and those eight to 14 must be supervised by an adult. Additional volunteer guidelines are available on the website.
