about The Shark:
The Shark departs the South Street Seaport taking passengers (149 maximum) within feet of the Statue of Liberty during a 30-minute thrill-ride providing a unique view of the New York skyline.
Pregnant women, children younger than five years, and those under 40 inches of height may not ride; children must be able to sit in their own seats.
tips:
Sit in the front for bumpiest ride, along the sides six rows and back from front for maximum wet. Save $2/ticket by purchasing in advance.

there are two speedboat attractions...The Shark and the Beast...ive been on each and the Shark Wins by far!!! it went faster and got you wetter...definately a great way to spend the day with friends or family! :)
