Originally opened as Redbones in 1996, The SugarHouse Barbeque Company is a family owned and operated restaurant. Some of the dishes the restaurant is best known for include the Memphis-style barbequed ribs, Dixie chicken, Jambalaya, and the pulled pork sandwich. Combinations of the ribs and chicken are available, and come with a choice of two side dishes. Dine-in and carry-out are both offered. The SugarHouse Barbeque also does catering.
The atmosphere in the restaurant is friendly, busy, and clean. Highchairs are available for families with young kids. The restroom is large and clean, but lacks a changing table for little ones. The customers almost always seem to be regulars, and they are more than happy to help newbies decide on what to order from the menu. The food is delicious, and the meat is very tender, so it's easy for toddlers to eat.
