This place is so great! A MUCH needed resource. All parents in the East Bay...TAKE you classes here! I took my childbirth, newborn and breastfeeding class and CPR. They were great! I started taking a class at the hospital and it was aweful. I thought that since I was birthing there I should take my classes there...WRONG! We were put in some conference room, the room was really cold and the instructor was late. It was aweful. The instructor did not know many of the questions people were asking and most of the class was a video tape. NOT what I picture for my childbirth education! My husband and I did not return for the rest of the classes. I got a refund. My neighbor told me about The Tulip Grove and the fantastic classes. I signed up and after the first 10 minutes of the class KNEW I was in the right place. In short, Jen Frick, the owner and instructor, was very knowledgible and made the whole experience comfortable as well as entertaining! My husband and I felt really prepared. I had my baby a few weeks ago....happy healthy girl! My husband was GREAT through the whole thing and followed all the advice learned in the class. My birth experience was hard..no doubt about it BUT peaceful and low anxitey. We knew what to expect and to go with the flow....all taught by Jen! My OB was really impressed and proud of us.... All OB's need to refer there.....GO TO THE TULIP GROVE!!
