about The U.S.S. Constitution/Old Ironsides:

Better known as "Old Ironsides," the U.S.S. Constitution is the oldest commissioned war ship afloat anywhere. It is also one of the most scenic stops on the Freedom Trail. Tours of this historic ship are conducted by U.S. Navy sailors every 15 to 30 minutes depending upon the season.

If you are interested in learning more about life aboard the ship you can head over to the Charlestown Navy Yard Museum.

getting there:

Green or Orange line to North Station. From North Station it is approximately a 1/2 mile walk. Exit the station and head towards the water on Causeway Street. Take a left on Rutherford Ave and head over the Charles River bridge. At the end of the bridge take a right and follow the path to the Navy Yard. The ship should be visible from the bridge.
