about The Wren's Nest:

Atlanta's oldest house museum and a National Historic Landmark, The Wren's Nest, is the former Victorian home of author and journalist Joel Chandler Harris. He created the loveable tales of Brer Rabbit and Brer Bear in the collection known as the Uncle Remus Stories. This restored house features reproductions of Harris family furnishings and a diorama from the movie, Song of the South.

A large, shady backyard is perfect for picnicking; you do need to bring your own, as no food is sold on site.

Memberships include free admission, a 10% discount in the gift shop, and periodic mailings of information about The Wren's Nest.
