The Tijuana River, as it enters the Pacific Ocean, is an inter-tidal coastal wetland located just north of the international border between California and Mexico where the Tijuana River meets the Pacific Ocean. The estuary is one of the largest salt water marshes in Southern California.
Over 370 species of birds, including several designated as endangered, make their homes in these marsh lands. Four miles of walking trails, four miles of equestrian trails, and two miles of public beach offer plenty of adventure for the whole family.
