The other day my husband had stumbled upon this site. The review posted by Kate was so similar to our experience that he thought that I had written it. To our credit though, we made it 3 weeks before finally getting the boot! My daughter started in July when she was 5 months old. We secured our position almost 6 months in advance while I was still pregnant for part time care, three days/week. One week prior to starting, Alena asked if we could switch our days to accommodate another child who apparently needed one of our pre selected days. We were very apologetic but unable to change our schedule as I work full time in addition to going to school full time. Days after having this conversation, she called a second time with the same request. This time, the frustration in her voice was thinly veiled. Again, I told her that we were unable to change our agreed upon days. The weekend prior to our start date, we met with Alena to go over paperwork and sign the check. As I was writing the check, she innocently asked if we had received the notice in the mail that her rate had increased from $8/hour to $8.50/hour. No, we hadn't......strange, huh? The first two weeks were uneventful. Week three, she began to complain that our daughter was fussy and required constant attention. The following week she was kicked out. There was no attempt to work with us to resolve the situation. We offered to come in and assist, but her mind was made up and she clearly did not want to put any effort forth. On a side note, our daughter has been cared for by numerous friends and family who all describe her as one of the most playful and easy going babies they have ever seen. The absurdity that a child care provider is so intolerant of a fussy baby, if not so outrageous, is almost laughable. Parents of infants BEWARE!!! Do not be fooled, Tippy Toe is not as it appears! INFANTS ARE CONSIDERED A NUISANCE AND ARE DISPOSABLE. If an older child who 1) requires less one on one care and 2) is eligible for higher staffing ratios (translation: less work+ more children=more $$$) comes along, do not be surprised if your infant is first on the chopping block. I do not believe Alena or Tammy are poor daycare providers. Our daughter was happy going and returning every day. I also do not believe that it is coincidence that Alena needed an opening spot and when unable to get her way, took action in her underhanded way. Avoid this place at all costs or you too will be left scrambling if God forbid your baby should cry. Akemi

I would summarize our deep affection for Alena, Jenny and Tami by saying, that of the 48 people invited to our wedding; they were three of them - I have 30 year friends, dating back grammar school that didn't get the invite. The love they give all their "littles" is amazing, truly. Their home and recreational facilities are beautiful, they are constructing masterful pieces of arts & crafts daily (which double as office wallpaper, btw), they are highly professional, fun-loving, and the best. I do however have one big concern to share: the day that our little has to move on to a "bigger girl school." However, I'm certain we'll always stay in touch, and they'll be at her every graduation. They are really amazing - really.

My son has been going to this daycare for 1.5 years (since his 1st birthday). I am so grateful that we stumbled across these wonderful people through word of mouth from neighbors. Never before have I met people who truly care about kids as much as Alena and Tammy do. Every morning they are smiling and happy and excited for the children. The day is filled with fun and tons of learning. I know our son would not be anywhere near his speech, language, spelling, math, etc development levels without the help from Tippy Toe. They really go above and beyond normal daycare. They are schooling the kids in a fun way and helping me as a parent immensely.

It truly is a place that I feel good about dropping my child off at everyday. I really feel lucky to have found such wonderful people to help me raise my child when I am away at work during the week.

Regarding any negative comments below about Tippy Toe - if a child is asked to leave a daycare where all other children, families and parents are extrememly happy - does that no speak for itself. Some children simply do not fit into certain condtions, groups or daycares for that matter. It is our job as parents to find a good fit for our children and not take it so personally. The child is what is important here.

Peyton started at Tippy Toe when she was 14 months old - she just turned 3! I cannot possibly express how very thankful we are to Alena and Tammy for all that they do for our family. Our daughter LOVES them and her daycare. She receives more care, love and attention than you could possibly ask for. Tippy Toe is a second home for our daughter and Alena and Tammy are an extension to our family. We truly feel blessed to have our daughter under such wonderful care. We NEVER worry about her and know that when at daycare she is alwasy happy and half the time doesn't want to leave when we pick her up! If you are lucky enough to have a child at Tippy Toe Daycare - then you are indded lucky. They keep a very small group of children and do their very best to keep a good balance within the children. WE LOVE TIPPY TOE!

This place is AMAZING!!! My daughter has been going there since she was 8 months old (she turned 2 in October). Alena and Tammy are so loving and my daughter adores them. Somedays I've have had to take her home crying because she doesn't want to leave! They have a small group of wonderful children who have a great time together. My daughter has learned SO much there - I can't possibly recommend them enough.

My son started in this daycare with a rate of $8/hr and 8.5 hours per day, and was dropped out by them at the 2nd day! According to their description, the main reason that they didn't want to keep him was that he cried a lot and they thought that he was not ready for day care yet. However we told them to give us a call if he cried a lot and didn't receive any call from them. They not only charged him for 9.5 hours per day for the two days that he was in your day care, but also charged $150 of registration fee.

Dissapointed and upset, I tried to ask for the registration fee back. They refused to return it and showed me the contract which I was never shown before. Obviously, I was not given full information when I applied for a position in that daycare for my son. According to the contract (page 3), the client will pay a registration fee of $150 upon signing the contract. I saw no reason why they didn't refund the money back. Get away from this daycare if you don't want you child to be returned at the 2nd day because of crying and get overcharged!
