I have had a great deal of late nights and a great deal of work has been brought home from the office this year. I've used To The Rescue, Mom for emergencies and have also called for a Mother's Helper to help me with my two daughters (one a toddler, and the other school- aged) when I work for home. To The Rescue, Mom has been there for me every time ... and to understate, I really appreciate them!
I am a working mom at a busy law firm in Manhattan. I have a regular Nanny who cares for my daughter but plenty of times if we have a closing I have to stay late, and sometimes really late. At a moment's notice (usually with little advanced notice) I have called To the Rescue, Mom to help relieve my regular nanny for the evening and stay "until" . This has happened so many times this summer, and my daughter, who is quite a handful at 2 1/2 has been cared for so well that sometimes I wish the sitter was her regular caregiver. The contact person at the service has been so accomodating and is not interested in charging for every "minute" that I have come to believe that she really cares about moms, children and families. What more could you want from a babysitting service. Alison on York Avenue --
I am originally from Manhattan {via New Zealand) and recently moved to Park Slope. I left behind a lot in my move from one borough to the next but not my babysitters. To The Rescue, Mom has been helping us fill every kind of babysitting need imagineable, from hectic moving days mothers helpers to evenings out. The great thing is we were still able to get the same babysitters we used in Manhattan to follow us to Brooklyn. We have our regulars and we have had our last minute request sitters and have been more than pleased with the women that have come to care for our two children (one five and the other two-years old) To The Rescue, Mom is a great resource for our family. --- Juliet F.
my husband and i like to go out on fridays, we looked at all the options available and decided to give to the rescue a shot. there seemed no discernable difference between the services but to the rescue had no sign up or reservation fee. we have had two different babysitters so far and the baby has been so comfortable and happy everytime. we are sold. also, the billing/payment system is so easy. thank you to the rescue for your service, we will see this friday.
VERY GREAT SERVICE! This is such a good service, I sometimes don't want to tell my friends so I can keep it all to myself!!! I have used To The Rescue, Mom for over a year now and have had nothing but good experiences with them. I have two very active boys, one four years old and the other two years old, and each time I requested a sitter from To The Rescue, the sitter they sent was more than up for the job. I am a freelance photographer who works for high- profile clients and often need to work from home. All of the sitters I hired from To The Rescue, Mom were willing to take the children out to the museum or to the playground. I have my favorites, Blesserene and Christina, but if one of these sitters is not available, I have always been happy and satisfied with every sitter they have ever sent. They seem to screen their sitters very well. I cannot recommend them more highly. . PS they don't charge those ridiculous registration fees and are very reasonably priced. Happy mom from Tribeca - E.R.
To The Rescue, Mom answered my request quickly and lined up a sitter. After I confirmed everything I found it difficult to get anyone on the phone. At first, we loved our sitter. Our first red flag was when we noticed she put diapers on backwards or at times not at all. Then I came home from an appointment early and found her asleep next to the baby's crib. Not so bad if she hadn't closed the door and left my 3 1/2 year old wandering alone through the rest of the apartment. The owner of the agency didn't seem to believe me and then overcharged me on the hours. It took weeks of calls and emails to sort it all out. I'd stay away from this one.
I attempted to use To the Rescue, Mom for a last minute evening night out when our regular babysitter cancelled. I left a message, but never received a return call.
We needed a babysitter in a hurry and tried To the Rescue, Mom. We are so happy and glad we did. They were able to find us an amazing sitter, Alexis, who put our minds at ease from the minute she arrived. From start to finish the whole process was so easy, including the payment, which was done thru their website. We will be using them again, especially since there are no sign-up or reservation fees. Thank you To the Rescue, Mom.
