The Tooele City Park is sometimes referred to as Pool Park or Swimming Pool Park since it is also the location of the Pratt Aquatic Center. Besides indoor swimming, the park also offers four lit softball fields, picnic areas - including a pavilion, a tot lot playground, and BBQ pits. The pavilion can be reserved for private functions. Pratt Aquatic Center is an indoor aquatic facility featuring a leisure pool with a current river and a water slide, a zero-depth entry kiddie pool with water toys, and an eight-lane competition pool with high and low diving boards. Hours vary; check www.tooelecity.org for details. Monday nights are Family Nights; families can swim for $7. Annual passes are available. State law dictates that all children under the age of three must wear a swim diaper - even if potty trained. Swimming lessons (including parent/tot lessons), water aerobics classes, and party packages are offered at the center. Check the website for details, and call for reservations.
