- This place is perfect for when you want to let your wee one run around with a whole bunch of toys and tots and not have to clean up the mess :) Its a great place to catch up with a friend over a cup of joe and chit-chat while your wee one plays. Coffee is a bit more expensive then any other coffe joint- but it's good.

[Submitted by M 9/02/08 at 12:00 AM] - Our playgroup met at Tot Spot Cafe and everyone had a great time. We happened to come at the same time as a guest speaker on learning issues so it was more crowded than usual. I normally come alone since my sons napping time is all over the place and I appreciate the fact that they are drop-in play and offer a discount for twins.

The place is pretty quiet after 1pm if you have shy children like me and want a less noisy experience. The food is very nice but I go for the coffee!

It is tucked away in the back corner of a building complex near downtown Woodinville (think behind where Barnes and Noble is) impossible to see from the road, but once you are there, it is perfect. Here is what I like: -Windows on 2 sides so if the sun comes out, you can enjoy it. It is basically a huge room with little corner nooks if you want privacy and the play room is right in the middle of it all. -Very, very good coffee served in "green" ceramic mugs. I say "green" because they are lovely green colored mugs from World Market (yes I checked the bottom) and you can forgo the paper cup so green for the environment, too. -Great staff. I've been on a Saturday and during the week. The weekday crew is young energetic and cute girls who actually engage the kids in play. The weekend staff was 3 moms who are earning extra dough while dad is home with the kids - nice touch! The owner, who is a super sassy east coast type was there with her own son playing and making everyone feel welcome. -Safe toys! Nothing to climb on or get lost in. I sat sipping my yummy latte and read one the latest gossip mags while my son played AquaDoodle in the play area. As a mom with a clingy child, this is a rare luxury. -Pretty good food. I've had both the panini and salad and they are great values for the price. Haven't had the kids food except little sides, but I appreciate that you can order veggies there. If I could change anything, I'd make it closer to my house and extend the hours into the late afternoon. They close at 4pm which prevents me from going after school. I did chat with one of the crew who mentioned that they are going to do movies on summer nights. I can't wait for that! Another thing is there are always cheerios on the floor in one section where you get them for free, but they do try to sweep them up. Nice touch, but kids and O's don't mix! In all, aside from the fact that I have to cross the bridge to get there, I'm going to be a regular. I can't think of a more kid-friendly place!
