Pastry chef, former investment banker, and mom Rachel Thebault's Tribeca Treats offers a wide variety of mouth-watering chocolates, cookies, cupcakes, and cakes.

Custom birthday cakes are available in all sorts of flavor categories - "Chocolate-ish," "Vanilla-ish," and "Fruit-ish" - and require anywhere from 24 hours to four days notice. Prices are based on the complexity of the design.

And, as if S'mores cookies and cupcakes weren't enough, the bakery is a great place to pick up confection-related gifts - cookbooks, bakeware, party supplies, and more.

Tribeca Treats also hosts children's birthday parties on Sunday mornings from 10:30am to noon. Cupcake or Cookie Baking and Decorating, Cookie Pizza Party, Tea Party, and All About Chocolate are some of the themes to choose from. A basic 90-minute party for up to 12 kids costs $750 and includes aprons for the children to decorate; activities, games, and stories; bagels or pizza, juice boxes, a fruit platter, and cake; paper plates and napkins; party favors; and coffee for the grown-ups.
