A large neighborhood hang out, Trotwood Park offers everything a best kept community secret spot should. Large trees provide plenty of shade and a picturesque lake and white dock offer the perfect location to catch a fish or just feed bread to the ducks and plethora of turtles. The park also offers two decently maintained playgrounds. The tot lot is fenced in and offers swings and a playset with toddler sized slides. Braver and older kids can play on a larger jungle gym just steps away. The swings could all use a new set of chains, but besides that, the sets are in good shape. The floor consists of wood chips, which does require closed-toe shoes (and the constant vigilence of a toddler's mom who still likes to put everything in her mouth). Tennis, basketball, and racquetball courts are also on site and towards the back of the complex families will find softball and soccer fields available for sporting events. Restrooms are available and drinking fountains are located off the walking paths. Large covered pavilions feature grills and picnic tables and are on a first come, first served basis.
