about Tully's Coffee:
Because parents like to have a latte now and then, too. The most kid-friendly of all the major coffee chains features a brightly painted table and chair set and toybox in every store so you can have a quiet cup without peeling the kids' fingers off the pricey espresso machine displays.
Treats are better than average and feature some healthful choices like plain bagels and whole wheat or Tri-Color rolls from Alki Bakery. Those with a sweet tooth will find cakes, cookies, chocolates, and rather good soft-serve ice cream in various forms, including cones, shakes, and sundaes.
Coffee here is better than it is at that other big espresso chain, but it's still a far cry from our favorite independent shops.
If the kids clamor for a drink like yours, try the sweet seasonal drinks like eggnog and peppermint shakes, espresso shakes (make it caffeine free), hot cocoa, or Italian sodas. There are more than 30 Tully's locations in and around Seattle; check the website for the one nearest you.
tips:
This location has plenty of covered sidewalk seating year-round and good people-watching for restless kids.
