This festive, funky, child-friendly restaurant offers Italian/Cajun food on Avenue A. The name stems from the fact that the geographical sources of the two cuisines (Italy & Louisiana) are both in the shape of a boot. Very good, very reasonable food including excellent pizza (with everything from peppers & onions to andouille sausage and crawfish), pastas, po' boys (Louisiana's version of a hero/hoagie/sub), jambalaya, and other Cajun specialties. Fingers of Fire (chicken fingers with spicy tomato sauce - mild sauce is also available) are very popular among kids. All manner of beverages are available. It has booster seats and high chairs. The bathrooms are clean, and one even has a changing table.
