A restaurant, shopping, and
arts-and-entertainment district,
The Loop is a six-block area featuring specialty shops and boutiques, an array of dining destinations (including our favorite,
Blueberry Hill), and art galleries. Several of the bars and restaurants offer live music in the evenings and on weekends.
Much of the area is designated as a
Historic District on the National Register of Historic Places. The
Tivoli Theatre is one of the area landmarks - it regularly shows independent and foreign films. The Loop also contains the
St. Louis Walk of Fame, a sidewalk along Delmar Boulevard containing brass stars that honor famous St. Louisans. Some names of note include John Goodman, Maya Angelou, Tennessee Williams, Chuck Berry, Tina Turner, T.S. Eliot, Yogi Berra, and Miles Davis.
The Loop has large, lighted parking lots, a parking garage with attendants, and
plentiful street parking. The Delmar Loop
MetroLink Station is close by.
