about U.S. Cellular Field:

Home to the Chicago White Sox, U.S. Cellular Field provides over 40,000 wonderfully unobstructed-view seats and boasts a variety of kid-friendly activities and special offers. Kids can visit the new new 15,000-square-foot Fundamentals area for coaching clinics, practice areas, and skills instruction. Located above the left-field concourse and overlooking the field and the outfield seating area, Fundamentals opens with the gates and remains open throughout the game. There are also Speed Pitch Machines (near sections 162 and 524), the Chicagoland Plumbing Council Shower from old Comiskey Park (near section 102), Rain Rooms (near sections 105 and 546), and the Rookie's Club full of great food just for kids (sections 101 and 540). Children shorter than the turnstile arm (approximately 36 inches) are admitted free of charge, but must share a seat with an accompanying adult. Children taller than the turnstile are required to have a regular-price game ticket. Promotional giveaways are only available for ticketed guests. On Mondays, all tickets are half price. The concession stands, located throughout the ballpark, offer an endless variety of ballpark fare - including pizza, hot dogs, nachos, veggie burgers, veggie dogs, deli sandwiches, soft-serve ice cream, waffle cones, funnel cakes, soft drinks, beer, and juice. Young children attending White Sox games may obtain a free Kids' ID bracelet personalized with a seat location which allows staff to return lost children to their seats. Wristbands are available during games at any Guest Relations Booth. Guests are welcome to bring some snacks from home provided it is packed in small, see-through plastic bags. Small, soft-sided bags (no larger than 16" x 16" x 8") are also allowed, but must be searched prior to entering the park. And, one sealed plastic bottle of water, one liter or less in size, is also permitted. Strollers are permitted inside the ballpark, though smaller, umbrella-type strollers are preferred. Fans may also check their stroller at the Guest Relations Booths , located behind home plate on all levels of the park. A family restroom is located near Section 107, near Gate/Ramp 2. ATMs are located behind home plate on the Main and Upper Levels, in center field, outside the Bullpen Sports Bar and outside of the park at Gate 4. Ticket prices vary per seating section. Tickets are available online at Ticketmaster.com, any Ticketmaster Center, or by stopping at the U.S. Cellular Field Box Office. Parking is $18 for cars and minivans. Handicapped parking and wheelchair seating is available, as are devices for vision and hearing impaired guests. In addition to games, U.S. Cellular Field offers baseball camps for kids ages seven to 14. Call 630.PLAYBALL or email sox@interaccess.com for more info.

tips:

For healthier ballpark fare, check out the veggie burgers and veggie hot dogs - U.S. Cellular was one of the first stadiums to offer them, and they're a big hit with the kids.
