Union Station is a historic train station in Denver'sLoDo district. The station first opened in 1881 and after the original structure was destroyed by fire in 1894, it was rebuilt in Beaux-Arts style.
Today, it still serves passenger traffic, including Amtrak's California Zephyr, as well as the RTD's light rail and the Ski Train, which provides service between Denver and the Winter Park Ski Resort.
The Denver Society of Model Railroaders maintain a display and offices in the basement of the station.
