The largest "oriental" grocery store in the Midwest stocks over
8,000 products from 15 countries, many of which will appeal to kids - even those with
picky appetites. The unusual packaging and presentation may even get them excited about trying new things. This is the place to go for hard-to-find ingredients for Indonesian, Korean, Filipino, Japanese, and Thai dishes. There's also
fresh produce, bakery items, snacks, herbs, and meat and seafood, in varieties not widely available elsewhere. A smaller outlet of the store recently opened in the
Midtown Global Market and orders can also be placed online. In addition to foodstuffs, the store sells attractive dishes (many of which are made to look like porcelain but are unbreakable!), gift items, and kitchenware - and it's a great place to find
unusual treats and decorations for school events, birthday parties, and lunch boxes, especially now that there's also a large "dollar" section!
