University of Alaska Anchorage (UAA) is a major public four-year research institution, the largest university in Alaska, and home of the UAA Seawolves. UAA also houses the Theatre for Young People, offering youth the opportunity to audition for and participate in shows throughout the year, or to attend summer acting academies after the school year ends. UAA's Fine Arts Recital Hall presents concerts and programs performed by the University's opera, theatre, and music students.
