about University of Chicago Laboratory Schools:

Based on the educational philosophy of John Dewey, the University of Chicago Laboratory Schools provide an experience-centered, rigorous, and well-rounded education for a diverse community. The schools aim to help each student learn to think critically, cultivate a passion for excellence, master important subject areas, achieve a sense of emotional and physical well-being, gain a sense of personal and community responsibility, and develop a life-long love of learning.

The schools include a Nursery/Kindergarten, Lower School (grades 1-4), Middle School (grades 5-8), and High School. The curriculum includes computer science, language arts, foreign languages (French, German, and Spanish), mathematics, journalism, history, and the sciences.
