The multi-purpose University of Phoenix Stadium, formerly known as Cardinals Stadium, opened in August 2006. The technologically advanced facility seats up to 73,000 and boasts a retractable roof and the first fully retractable natural grass playing field in North America.

The $450 million stadium is home to the Arizona Cardinals football team and hosts the annual Fiesta Bowl and a variety of other sports events, concerts, trade/consumer shows, and special events.

Public tours are offered at various times each week. Tours include approximately one mile of walking, are wheelchair accessible, and last approximately 75 minutes. Tickets run $4-$6 and must be purchased through the University of Phoenix Stadium box office.
