My son went to Upper West Side Day Care for four years and had an outstanding experience. As a new parent, I wasn't exactly sure about which type of child care would be best for my son, but when I saw the home care environment and met Shereen, I knew that was the right place. He was with kids of all ages, which were his day time siblings, and was cared for by experienced adults who love kids. It was great to see my son develop his independence under her care, and, as he grew, Shereen and her team would challenge him with things that were right for him. He is in kindergarten now and loves to see Shereen whenever he can. She and the others there are a happy memory for him in his very early years.

To me, Upper West Side Day Care is the best of both worlds. Our daughter gets the personal attention and relationship of a nanny or babysitter (by Shereen, the founder), coupled with a social environtment where children can learn from others. It's a small scale, personal environtment, which we love. The children are free to be themselves, and Shereen seems to know how to be uniquely responsive to each child's personality and development. Plus, the atmosphere is clean and bright with lots of sunlight.

Upper West Side Day Care is the best! It is such a fantastic, nurturing environment with a teaching staff that engages my child and makes her feel safe, stimulated and so happy. The facility is immaculate and the one-on-one attention that each child receives is so impressive! The curriculum is filled with activities that are personalized to suite each child’s developmental needs and temperament. My daughter is daily being enriched with toys, music and learning tools. Shereen, the director of UWS Day Care, is incredible! As pre-school teacher (for over a decade) and a mother herself- she understands that each child is different and special. I love that she keeps me informed of my daughter’s daily activities, progress, and all important milestones. I feel so fortunate to have found Shereen. I honestly do not know what I would have done without her and I'm certain my daughter feels the same way- her daily grin says it all!!! Upper West Side Day Care is such a lovely place. I could not be happier with my experience and feel so lucky to have found such a wonderful second home for my child!
