about Uwajimaya Village:

Uwajimaya has long been a destination grocery and gift store in the International District. Its recent major remodel added a food court, improved parking, and much more space inside. Customers travel from all over town for its huge selection of Asian meats, seafood, noodles, and condiments. The produce section carries lotus root, Japanese pickling plums, and pea vines, in addition to apples and grapes. Our kids love the unfamiliar boxes of cookies and candies by the checkout stand, and Hello Kitty-mad girls will goggle at the large selection of Hello Kitty merchandise (located in the gift shop, just beyond the checkout stands). The food court offers a fine selection of Asian fast food. When we visited, our two-year-old loved the transparent pancit noodles from Inay's Kitchen, which serves Filipino food. The Uwajimaya deli offers sushi and other pre-packaged pan-Asian food to go or you can choose from a long buffet. Tiny Honey Moon Tea sells bubble tea with ultra-wide straws and ice cream in flavors like ginger, green tea, red bean, taro, and cinnamony Mexican chocolate. Korean barbeque and Vietnamese and Thai food are also available. Look for high chairs at the end of the hall that leads to the restrooms.
