About Valley of the Moon Park

Valley of the Moon Park is one of Anchorage's most popular and well used recreation areas, offering picnic and play areas, open fields, and the city's tallest play structure. The park is located close to Downtown yet is part of the Chester Creek Greenbelt.

Children love to climb to the top of the giant rocket and slide down. Swings are available for toddlers and big kids, and there is plenty of room to throw a frisbee or fly a kite.

Restrooms are available, as well as port-a-potties, but no changing station for babies in diapers.

Tips

There is a creek nearby, so keep an eye on little ones.

Getting There

Start downtown and head south on E Street. Stay on E Street past 15th Avenue. The park is located on the left as the street curves around to the left just before Fireweed Lane.
