Valley Youth Theatre presents award-winning entertainment for families. The organization is routinely recognized for the positive impact made on local children who attend and participate in its live productions.

A community theater in every sense, VYT performs in its own renovated facility in Copper Square, a vibrant urban environment in the heart of downtown Phoenix. It's equipped with a state-of-the-art sound system and features continental-style seating for over 200 guests.

The intimate venue offers an excellent view of the stage from anywhere in the theater. Young children are invited to come down at the beginning of the show and sit between the front row and the stage - a smart idea that keeps little ones immersed in the action.

Acoustics are good - or the young actors really know how to project. Either way, the cast is easily understood and utilizes all the nooks and crannies of the auditorium for scene interaction.

Snacks and VYT merchandise are sold in the small lobby before curtain and during intermission. The friendly cast is out in full force following the shows, offering big smiles and signatures for young autograph seekers.

The theater's Young Actors Conservatory provides professional training for budding performers. Classes run for eight weeks and are held during fall, winter, and spring sessions. Acting and musical theater camps are offered during spring and summer school breaks.
