About Venice on the Creek

Venice on the Creek is a relaxing punt ride down Cherry Creek in lower downtown Denver. A punt is a boat similar to an Italian gondola - a long and narrow vessel (23' x 3') - that is propelled and steered by a pole operator at the back of the punt. While gliding down the creek, the boat goes through several locks, specially designed for the punts - for budding engineers, it's a great education. Guides relate the history of Denver and plenty of facts and information along the way. Boats hold up to six people and leave every 10-15 minutes. Roundtrip travel time is about 60-70 minutes; half rides (the boat turns around half-way down the creek) last about 40 minutes. Trips begin and end at CreekFront Plaza. Candelight Rides are available after 8:30pm. Pricing is by the bench - each bench holds two adults. Advance reservations are strongly suggested.

Tips

Private boats seating up to six are also available - just ask for one when making your reservations. This is a wonderful way to spend the evening in Denver!
