Looking for fresh air and family fun outside? Venture Outdoors makes it easy to take a leisurely hike through the woods, reel in a fish, get rolling on a mountain bike, paddle the region's rolling rivers with Kayak Pittsburgh, and much more.

The website features a database of outdoor activities that's searchable by date, activity, or interest group - doggie friendly, seniors, family friendly, or singles. Membership is not required to participate in activities, though members do receive discounts and other benefits.

Venture Outdoors also offers Tyke Hikes, family-friendly seasonal hikes in Pittsburgh City Parks for parents and caregivers with children ages eight and under, and the Youth Outdoor Adventure Program (YOAP), featuring programs that are are specially designed for scout troops, schools, religious groups, community centers, and other youth-serving agencies or programs.
