about Verdugo Park:

This is one of the prettiest parks in Los Angeles, and one of the biggest in the Glendale Parks, Recreation & Community Services system.

The graceful, sweeping trees, irresistible to tree-climbers, and gloriously shady on hot days, are worth the drive by themselves. But don't miss the playgrounds, playing fields, and especially the picnic areas, which can be reserved for birthday parties. Huge expanses of grassy lawn, dotted by those wonderful trees, make this a delightful place for family activities.

Skate classes are offered throughout the year in the Skate Park. In-line skaters and skateboarders must wear a helmet, kneepads, and elbow pads and must have a valid release on file. Youth 17 years and younger require a parent/guardian signature. For complete program information call 818.548.2786.

The park has two well-maintained bathrooms and wheelchair access.
