This indoor rock climbing facility has it all: hundreds of climbing routes along more than 18,200 square feet of vertical climbing surface; 50 top ropes, 15 of which are equipped with auto-belays; an overhanging arch; boulder caves with challenging 45- and 60-degree climbs; beginner areas; and surfaces with expertly simulated rock. Day passes ($13 weekdays; $15 weekends), and annual and monthly memberships ($35 and up) are available. Rent or buy helmets, harnesses, and climbing shoes on-site. Parties: Offered weekdays and weekends ($15.99 & $17.99 per child, respectively), they include stickers, invitations, a birthday banner, balloons, an orientation session, two hours on the wall including supervised games, and a harness for each guest. A party room, which seats about 12, is available for cake and gift-opening for an additional $25 per half hour. The birthday child gets a t-shirt, and climbs free in parties of 10 or more. Vertical Endeavors asks each party to bring one chaperone per five guests to assist in supervision. Athletic or climbing shoes are needed to climb. Book at least two weeks in advance.
