Located in the West Village, the Montessori and Bank Street-oriented Village Preschool Center provides a warm, supportive, family atmosphere for a child's first separation from home.

A French language enrichment program includes a bilingual French/English classroom. Science features animals representing major classifications: mammals, amphibians, fish, birds, etc. A full-time music teacher performs music daily for every program, and the school has a special program for early readers.

Parents may stay in the classroom until their child is fully adjusted to school. The staff specializes in young children and separation issues. The facility is fully licensed.

VPC offers several afterschool programs in science, languages, and the arts for children ages three to five, and a Toddler Time program for children ages one through two.

Merry-Go-Round Summer Camp, for children ages three to five, is open to the general public as well as those attending VPC. The camp runs from mid-June through the mid-August. Children rotate through five rooms: Art (individual and collaborative creations using various media); Science (hands on activities including live animals, experiments, and discoveries); Musical and Movement (singing and dancing every day with VPC's own musician); Surprise Venture (adventure of the week - dramatic play, cooking, performances, nature walks, and more); and Indoor Play Time (in the air-conditioned "Playtrium"). Campers also go on outings to nearby playgrounds nearby playgrounds and gardens.

Camp sign-up is flexible; half and full day programs are available. Four enrollment sessions offer a choice of three, four, or five days a week. Camp tuition ranges from $220 to $500 per week depending on the number of days enrolled.
