Vios, a neighborhood cafe on Capitol Hill, serves tasty Greek food and features a children's play area in the back within view of most of the indoor tables (there is outdoor seating as well when the weather permits). The toys in the play area are generally for the under-four set. At Vios, patrons step up to the counter to order and the staff brings your food to the table. We sampled a lunch plate of lamb souvlaki with octopus salad and orzo salad. All were excellent and were served with warm pita triangles. A prix-fixe "family-style" dinner is served at dinner time. The children's menu features chicken or vegetable kabobs or spaghetti with meat sauce served with hummus and pita bread. Vios' marketplace component sells jars of olives, tins of olive oil, and other Mediterranean staples, and the deli case if full of delectable cured meats.
