VITAS Inovative Hospice Care offers support and assistance to terminally ill patients and their families. The company offers a range of unique volunteer opportunities for compassionate and creative individuals and families, some of which can be completed right in your family's home. Craft Volunteers create home-sewn items such as lap blankets, afghans, pillows, and other useful items. Fabric and stuffing can be provided. New craft ideas are welcome. Memory Bear Volunteers create stuffed bears from fabric obtained from a favorite piece of clothing supplied by the family of a former VITAS patient. Other opportunties include visiting patients, delivering holiday gifts, office and clerical work, and more.
