Wagner Farm050
in Glenview, IL 60025about Wagner Farm:
Wagner Farm is an 18.6-acre farm offering a variety of programs; families can see how bread was made in a wood cook stove, hear the rooster marking time with his crow, or maybe even milk one of the farm's many cows.
Many special events are planned throughout the year: a Barn Dance, the Corn Harvest Festival, the Spring Fling, Dairy Breakfast, and Threshing Day... with a Tractor Display.
In addition to the wide array of activities at the farm, there are also public sales of mums, pumpkins, and Christmas trees. Drop by and see what's in bloom.
Birthday parties can be held at the farm, too. Staff-supervised parties are ninety minutes long and include the use of the private classroom and access to the Heritage Center. Horse-drawn wagon rides may be substituted for farm tours at an additional cost. (Wagon rides are available March-October.)
PS: an old-fashioned soda fountain is located inside the Heritage Center. It's open daily, 12n-closing, during the summer only.

getting there:
Take Edens expressway to Lake Avenue, go west past Harms Road to Wagner Road, and continue north to Wagner Farm.
