Wasatch Arts Center offers dance classes in classical ballet, jazz, modern dance, creative movement, pre-ballet, kinder ballet, pointe, ballroom, and hip hop. The center boasts modest costumes, creative and qualified instructors, an emphasis on technique, and a non-competitive atmosphere - its students do not participate in dance competitions. Besides dance instruction, the studio also offers musical theater classes, children's choir, private voice lessons, summer camps, and group or private violin lessons. The center also runs a Fine Arts Preschool. The arts-based curriculum allows children ages three and four to learn the basics (colors, shapes, numbers, letters, history, geography, pre-reading, etc.) in addition to music, dance, theater, and art. In-studio Prima Ballerina and Hip Hop birthday party packages are available. Parents bring in cake and presents, and the rest is taken care of by the studio. Themed decorations lend to the party atmosphere as a professional dance instructor leads kids through a ballet or hip hop class. Plates, napkins, utensils, and clean-up are provided, and each child receives a gift to take home. Party pricing covers up to eight people; additional kids can attend for a small fee.
