The Wasatch Music Coaching Academy provides private and group music lessons, music clinics, and music classes for kids ages six and up (including adults). The program was established as a way to give young musicians an edge when it comes to performing in and trying out for college music programs, orchestras, bands, etc. Teachers at the academy have a wide range of expertise: voice, violin, trombone, bass, guitar, reeds/saxophone, piano, percussion, trumpet, cello, etc.

Several ensembles are offered, from jazz to rock bands. Parents are always welcome (and encouraged) to attend rehearsals and performances - and even join a band!

The academy also offers a summer jam band course. During the two-week program kids learn rock, pop, and jazz tunes and participate in music theory and improvisation units. At the end of the course the students have a performance that is professionally recorded.

The Wasatch Music Coaching Academy is one of the greatest things i have yet to get involved with. I get to see my friends on a regular basis as well as learn anything and everything about music. I also enjoy how friendly the teachers are and how much they enjoy contributing to my musical education as well as many other kids.

The WMCA has given me something to look forward to during my week. It is a serenity and a place for me to escape. Ive made deep connections with the members of the academy. Its another family and a place where i think we all feel safe from judgement.

WMCA has given me such wonderful oppourtunities that I wouldn't have been able to recieve anywhere else. It gives us a chance to be who we are, do what we love and share are talents with people to grow stronger. I've gained such strong relationships with everyone in the studio, and without out them I don't know what I would do. I honestly cannot see my life without WMCA. It is now a part of me.

A wonderful opportunity for music lovers of all ages to interact and share their passion for music. The teachers are inspiring and uber-dedicated. The vibe is supportive and immensely positive. Kids of all ages blend together to become friends. For parents who are looking for a way to connect with their kids, there is nothing else like it!!
