The Washington Conservatory of Music (WCM) is an independent, non-profit, community music school.
Children can begin Early Childhood Music classes at two years of age (accompanied by a parent or caregiver), and can continue with general music classes through the age of seven.
WCM also offers Music Theory/Ear Training classes for ages kids ages eight and up. The courses are based on the materials of the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM).
Private lessons are offered in a vast array of instruments, including voice and theory. Students of all levels and ages are accepted for individual lessons without an audition.
All students are encouraged to perform in regularly-scheduled recitals on Sundays throughout the year.
