about Washington Square Park:

This patch of green is one of San Francisco's most accessible parks, and sometimes hosts free family fun. See if the kids notice that, despite the name (the Park was named for George Washington), the statue in the center is of Benjamin Franklin! Sidewalk cafes circle the park's perimeter, and it's a walkable downhill destination from most of northeast San Francisco.
