About Wayne Art Center
Wayne Art Center offers instruction in all phases of the fine arts, selective crafts, and music and drama, with particular attention to the visual arts, this very popular center offers afterschool classes, lessons, and a summer camp.
Children's classes are offered during the fall, winter, and spring and run in six to eight week sessions. Courses are offered for children ages two to seventeen and include offerings such as: Pre-School Art, Kid Kapers, Creative Clay, KinderArt, PreSchool Art, Pottery for Teens and Adults, Art Around the World, Artist's Studio, Advanced Cartooning, Fantasy Drawing, Creative Drama, Teen Metal Jewelry, Wheel Throwing, Play with Clay, and Art Explorers.
Summer Camp is offered to children ages two through 17. The younger set can choose from a multitude of art courses, such as drawing, painting, pottery, wheel throwing, multi-cultural art, puppet making, and drama. A great offering is the Two for Art Class, which allows two and three year old budding artists to foster their emerging creativity with a parent or caregiver by their side!
The older set can participate in the more concentrated art offerings that include sculpture, stone sculpture, drawing, painting, printmaking, cartooning, stained glass, and jewelry making. These classes also provide teenaged students the opportunity to develop art portfolios if they're planning to pursue a further education in the arts.
Wayne Art Center also hosts art-themed birthday parties. Call 610.688.3553 for details.
