One of the most beautiful spots to swim in all of Central Florida, the constant 72 degree natural spring water is refreshing in the summer and almost warm - at least to visitors from the north - in the winter.
You'll find the pool at the base of the amphitheater, also a great place to sunbathe and picnic. Picnic tables and grills, as well as a children's playground and volleyball court are close to the spring.
Bring your canoe or kayak, or rent one at the park, to paddle along the Wekiva River, or wander among thirteen miles of hiking and bicycling trails.
Family campground sites are avilable at $20 a night and primitive camping sites are also offered. The "Bedtime Story Camper Lending Library" of picture books for campers aged four to nine offers stories to help children learn about the nature around them in the park. Or, join a Ranger on Saturday mornings for informational programs about the history of the springs and the wildlife within.
The Recreation Hall and additional pavilions are available for rental. Restrooms are located in the picnic area, near the Nature Center/Concession Store and in the swimming area, which also has a changing room.
