The Wellesley Free Library opened its new main library in 2003. The result of a decade of planning, the new facility has many comfortable seating areas, the general collection located on one floor, a wonderful children's room that includes a story hour area as well as a special craft room; quiet study areas, and community meeting space.
The library offers great views of the conservation land next door, as well as a spectacular view of the Wellesley Town Hall across the street.
The Library also has increased parking for library users. In addition to the back parking lot, there is an underground parking garage exclusively for library users. If you park in the garage, you may access the library by elevator or a staircase that brings you into a lobby area.
