about Wells Fargo History Museum:

Step off the skyway and into another era, to explore Wells Fargo's storied past, beginning with the California Gold Rush. A turn-of-the-century bank, frontier transportation including a restored 1863 Concord stagecoach, and a working telegraph station from which kids can tap out messages bring the 19th Century to life. It doesn't take long for kids to discover the rocking base on the stagecoach to give each other "rides." (Supplying racing hoof-beat sound effects is optional!) The museum is small, but unless there's a school group in, visitors might well have the place, and staff's attention, to themselves. Ask for a scavenger hunt to get more out of the experience. The museum also covers its Midwestern heritage, with small displays on stagecoaches across the Plains, mining and milling along the Mississippi, and Northwestern National Bank's beloved old Weatherball.

getting there:

On the Skyway Level of the Cesar Pelli-designed Wells Fargo Center. Since the museum is only open during downtown business hours, don't count on finding street parking. Parking ramps abound in this area, and the museum is well-served by public transit. The Nicollet Mall Light Rail Station is one block west.
