The oldest Taekwondo school for children and adults on the Upper West Side has been offering lessons for children for over 10 years. West Side Taekwondo provides high quality instruction in a welcoming and supportive, yet disciplined and challenging atmosphere.
Programs are available for the littlest "Pee Pods" through black belts. West Side Taekwondo also offers a special class just for young girls, ages five and up.
Two-hour birthday parties with two instructors for 20 children (ages five and up) cost $500, and can be held on weekends.
Summer camp for children ages six to 12 is offered by the week for six weeks during July and August. In addition to Taekwondo, campers participate in educational arts and crafts, outdoor sports and games, nature walks, and field trips. Tuition runs from $375 for one week to $1500 for six weeks. Siblings signing up together receive a 10% discount.
