Wheeler Historic Farm is an interactive working farm. Visitors can milk cows, view farm animals, and learn about the buildings and machines that made this 19th century farm run. Plenty of picnic tables are available if you choose to bring lunch or dinner.
Children enjoy checking out the horses, cows, sheep, chickens, and rabbits at the animal pens. The Farm Machinery Exhibit Building showcases the equipment that Henry Wheeler used to run his farm. East of the entrance are many easy trails to wander where you can see ponds, wetlands, and beautiful flowers. The paths are loose gravel, so if you plan on bringing a stroller, opt for a sturdy one. Dogs are allowed on leash only.
Farm Activities: Ever wanted to milk a cow? Here's your chance! Monday through Saturday at 5pm at the Dairy Barn & Milking Parlor, two cows are ready for milking. Wagon rides leave every 30 minutes from 10am to 5:30pm. Farmhouse tours run every hour on the hour from 10am-4pm.
