Think of a cross between basketball and lacrosse... in bumper cars. Contestants sit in extra-responsive bumper cars and try to shoot a small ball into a net using something like looks like a Whiffleball racquet. One hour of court rental for 10 people will set you back about $175. Basic birthday parties here include an hour of WhirlyBall, a Baskin & Robbins ice cream cake, two 16" pizzas, and soda for 10. See the website for party prices. An onsite cafe offers basic fast food, including beer for the over-21 crowd. WhirlyBall is a non-smoking environment.
getting there:
Located in Edmonds, about 10 miles north of Seattle. From I-5 north: Exit at NE 175th Street (#176) towards Aurora Avenue N. Travel straight to enter ramp. Turn left on 175th. Turn right onto Aurora Avenue N (Highway 99). Turn right onto 234th Street SW. Plenty of free lot parking.
