Long-time favorite Why Not? sells not only engaging and well-made toys, but also a wide selection of books and unique clothing, spread out over two floors (downstairs for babies through toddlers, upstairs for older kids). The staff is helpful and attentive, and downstairs is a large "playpen" area with a train set and play kitchen to keep little ones safely occupied while parents shop (parents, of course, should not leave the children there when they head up to the second floor!).
