Wild Basin Wilderness Preserve safeguards 227 acres of the Texas Hill Country. Nature lovers can romp through three miles of hiking trails that cover woodland, grassland, and streamside habitats.

Wild Basin also hosts family events, concerts, and special programs and workshops for children.

tips:

Portable restrooms are located in the parking area; no picnic facilities are available (please leave food at home, but bring water).

getting there:

The entrance to Wild Basin is on the east side of Loop 360, approximately one mile north of Bee Caves Road, or three miles south of the Loop 360 bridge over Lake Austin (Colorado River).
